Kia ora koutou,
Have Your Say About Future Development at Whenuapai Primary School
The Ministry of Education has recently met with the Whenuapai School Board on two occasions, to outline a proposal to extend the capacity of the current site by developing a Second Campus. This proposal will include an extension of Whenuapai’s current enrolment zone.
The proposed Second Campus will be located on Trig Road and is planned to open in Term 3, 2023. The proposed site will operate as Whenuapai School with students sharing the same vision, values, uniform etc. It is likely that students in Years 7 and 8 will attend the Second Campus.
Although the Whenuapai Board is mindful of the opportunity the proposal offers the school and agrees with it in principle, we are keen to hear your thoughts about the proposed development prior to making a final decision.
Invitation to Provide Feedback to the School Board
You are invited to attend an interactive information session on Wednesday, 15 June 2022 from 6.00pm – 7.30pm in the school hall. During this session, a full proposal for the Second Campus and our current Campus will be explained.
We will also be available in the school staffroom for questions and answers throughout the day on Thursday, 16 June 2022 from 9.00am – 2.30pm.
The two sessions will be facilitated by an independent contractor, supported by the School’s Senior Management Team and members of the Board.
Parents/Caregivers of current students will have the opportunity to provide their support for the proposal by way of an electronic survey released on Tuesday, 21 June 2022 and closing on Wednesday, 22 June 2022.
Yours sincerely,
